The Museum Exhibits and Displays tell the story of Wareham from prehistoric times to the present day and include geology and natural history. Many objects and photographs have been donated to the museum over the years.
The current layout of the museum dates to 1998, and since then there have been many improvements and additions. New displays have been funded through fundraising and from grants from external sources. The latest addition, the Saxon Wareham display with the reproduction sword as its centrepiece, opened in 2016.
