Walks take place each Tuesday morning starting at 10.30 am and last just over an hour. It’s easy walking but walking boots are advised.
Home Walks and Start Location
We meet in the Streche Road car park, Wareham (see map below) and ask walkers to arrive a few minutes early to hear instructions and information about the day’s walk from the Walk Leader and general announcements from the Walks Organiser.
Please note that walks on the first Tuesday of each month (usually not January) start from other locations near Wareham. The start time of these walks is the same as Home Walks (10.30 am) and shared travelling by car is encouraged. For Away Walks schedule click HERE.
All walks conclude with optional refreshments in a Wareham café or pub selected by the Leader or Organiser. Arrangements for refreshments are similarly made at the conclusion of Away Walks. Please ensure you have sufficient car parking time to allow for this.
We will always endeavour to ensure that the Home Walks take place - even in adverse weather conditions. Should a full walk be impossible, we will probably walk to a nearby coffee shop or pub for earlier than usual refreshments!
